Lungshan Temple |
Lungshan Temple is a famous ancient temple in Taiwan. It's about worshiping Guanshiyin Budda and other divine spirits. The temple of Lungshan faces south. Its architecture consists of three parts. There is a front hallway, the back hallway and the right / left dragons protecting the central corridor. The distribution is square and quiet. The temple was built in the fifth year of the Qing Dynasty in Qianlong. Due to the natural disaster and the damage caused by the men, the temple was restored several times. The doors, beams and posts are nicely decorated. In the hall are two bronze dragon rods, in the central corridor four pairs of dragon rods. The sculptures are delicate. There are also exquisite wood carvings. Among them, the Budda Fountain and its surroundings in the main hall are very popular. The temple contains many Chinese poems, worms and letters on posters. These add a touch of literature as well as religious and tourist value.
At historic festivals, there are large fairs with decorative lamps and temple activities. Every 1 and 15 of each month of the lunar year regular visitors come to the service. The temple attracts many people. In normal times, local / foreign tourists visit the temple. The Lungshan Temple is not only a temple, a tourist attraction, but also a historic site of the second degree. There are traditional streets / shops, antique shops, Buddhist shops and Chinese medicine shops around the temple. These places are outstanding for their wealth of folk art.
